Kia ora!

I absolutely love breaking things apart and figuring out how to put it all back together - that sometimes results with spare pieces! This reverse engineering approach has nurtured my fascination with life & technology and earned me the label of 'geek' amongst my peers.

Over the last 15 years teaching Te Reo Māori, I've seen the benefits that technology plays in language acquisition, revitalization, archival and resource creation.

I'm now in a space where 'playing with stuff that makes other cool stuff happen' happens. I am committed to sharing/teaching what I'm learning with the communities I serve to empower and get our tamariki (kids) enthused, passionate, involved and motivated in choosing programming as a preferred pathway - maybe even building a coding academy for kids still at kura tuatahi (primary school).

The migration from a consumer of technology to a creator/author of virtual solutions and a digital curator for generations to come has begun.
